		<description>interestingly... I just read this post and your previous post (systematic faith) and found myself making some comparisons.

Maybe the church needs to &quot;learn&quot; to be the church again. Maybe its okay that she continues to fail, because it is a learning process. Every time the culture changes, the church needs to learn what it means to be Jesus in that culture.

It isn&#039;t easy... a pull too far away from culture is separatist, a push too close towards culture is conformatism (ok thats not a word). in any case there is a tension for the church, and by church I mean the body of believers, to be Jesus to and for the world.

what that &#039;looks&#039; like... is a learning process full of stupid mistakes and self-centered motives. Of course its easier to repent and move forward as an individual, much harder as a large community of people in agreement.</description>
